Before You Call For Service:
Always consult your user's manual first. It is a very easy and useful tool to assist you in understanding your equipment.
Panasonic copiers have these codes:
Codes beginning with "U" are user errors. User codes can be solved easily. Consult your manual for the descriptions.
"E" codes are machine Errors.
When an error code occurs there are two sets of flashing numbers such as E3 - 01.
When calling for service it is important to let us know both sets of numbers. Sometimes these error codes can be fixed right over the phone and it can also let us know which parts to bring out to perform the proper repair and prevent a return service call.
U-13 and U-14
Make sure you never throw away toner bottles that still have toner in them.
Sometimes customers think the copier needs toner when it needs the toner waste bottle changed and vice versa. U13 is add toner and U14 is exchange the toner waste bottle.
Resetting your copier:
Try turning your copier off and back on to reset. Resetting your machine can solve many problems including copy quality problems. Repeating this procedure can help.
If your machine has no power, check the surge protector. If your surge protector has a red light it may have been damaged by a surge. Try putting your copier plug directly in to the outlet to see if indeed it was the surge protector that was damaged.
VERY IMPORTANT: SURGE PROTECTION
If you purchased your surge protector from us, please call us to arrange a warranty repair.
All surge protectors purchased from us have a LIFETIME warranty. We will arrange to have it repaired for only a small shipping fee, so do not throw it away!! If your copier is under maintenance agreement, it must have a high quality transformer-based surge protector/line filter. Without this important piece of equipment, you risk damage to your copiers, printers, fax machines due to lightning strikes, construction, and power fluctuations. Remember that your fax machine needs to have the phone line protected as well as the power line. Both must be plugged into the surge protector for protection. A surge through the phone line can knock out your modem in your fax, so it is just as important to protect your phone line as well. We sell the finest quality in surge protection and line filtration and also sell power backup systems for your computers. Call us for pricing.
